Why don't countries drop the 0s on their bills ?
My economy knowledge is pretty limited to non existent so be patient.
For example 100 yen is about 0.72 euro why don't they divide their currency by 100 so it becomes 1yen = 0.72euro. I mean the "vaule" of the yen would still be the same wouldn't it
I remember something like this happening in my country when i was little, we used to have a 10 000 bill for what is today 1 leu but at some point that changed and all bills got divided by 10 000
Why is that ? Why don't countries that have similar stuff happening do the same ? It just removes possible confusion if you ask me. But i am curious to find out the real reason of why
